Default Cordova could do all three!

According to the article the commissioners used to head various departments, Finance, Public Works and Welfare. Who better to be King of the County than John Cordova! As far as the Finance Dept., we know he can raise money (albeit illegally), in the Public Works arena, John claims to be an Engineer (John, I know quite a few engineers and they tell me they do not award honary degrees) and as far as Welfare, his $100,000 salary + benefits is is own private welfare program.

Heh, heh . . All of them, The City Council, the County Commissioners, The Colorado State Legislature, as well as the U.S. Congress (and the President, as well) need to understand that when revenue collection goes down, they either cut services or raise taxes . .

None of them want to do what is required!

And look at Colorado Springs . . They're cutting services . . except, they're cutting precisely what Government is supposed to do (Law Enforcement, Streets and Roads, etc.) and maintaining the "Entitlements" . .

    Go Figure . . .

Large, keep in mind that Colorado Springs is slightly higher in altitude than Pueblo. The marijuana affects them a little differently up there...

Actually, that has nothing to do with it . . It's all about Politics. These elected people don't want to pee in the Cherrios of the people who elected them . . And those people continue to live in the world that says the government is going to support them from cradle to grave . . and according to a recent Rasmussen Report, across the nation, that's 43% of the people . .

The local (and Colorado Springs is "almost" local) governments are no more than microcosms of the State and federal Governments . . the only REAL difference is that City, County and State Governments have constitutions requiring "Balanced Budgets" . . How that's done was supposed to be dictated by need and common sense, not by which Entitlement Program will get the most votes . .

At State Level, our Democrat Legislators don't want to slow their spending, on anything. And they're willing to actually consider an illegal option to continue their spending! It shows that they will stoop to new lows to keep that spending going . .

And again, I'll say . . I can't live like that, you can't live like that, so why should the government be allowed to?
