As if the city didn't have enough liability issues . . .

Notice that the City and the Police Dept. settled and paid Falletta $95,000 because some dumbassed Cop couldn't leave his ex-girlfriend alone . . . and another dumbassed cop helped him tase and beat up a bystander . .

Rocket Science . .

Will the "Ride-Alongs" get to see any of that action?

I've engaged in Ride-Along programs and at times there certainly was drama that made my hairs stand on end. It was very educational. I learned that a cop needs to be ready for pretty much anything. It was amazing the lengths people would go to attempting to manipulate and influence the cops.

In this litigious world liability will not be forgiven just because someone signs a release so the program needs some very smart design. I'm sure there are well designed Ride-Along programs with good track records Pueblo can use as references and am sure they already have been studied.

dunno, Marc. Been there, done that myself, back years ago.

That was long before the Cop got out of the car ready to fight or shoot . .

I think we've "regressed" . . as far as Police/Civilian Relations go . . .
