Ought to be a good subject and create several good discussions . .

As I have said on another thread, there are two Former (or soon to be so) Pueblo City Councilmen who are running for two seats on the three seat quorum. And both (one moreso than the other) are using their "records of achievement" as reason to be elected into this high paying and responsible seat.

One, Ray Aguilera, is exhibiting all of the capital projects the city built or financed using money put up by Accel and Black Hills power . . along with the brag that he testified against Black Hills rate increases in a PUC hearing . .

That's a big bone to pick . . Because he was on the Council when Black Hills made their proposal to the City. The promise of $7.2 Million was accompanied with the promise that the Citizens of Pueblo would "Enjoy" a 33% rate increase when the project was complete . . Ray voted FOR that proposal, and along with others on the quorum, spent the money. Part of it went for HIS park on the South side. Something like $1.2 million.

And then he has the audacity to tell us he went to a PUC hearing and lamented the increases in the citizen's power bills, pushing for less stringent "Shut Off" fees and that Black Hills should make deference for the poor . .

Now, to me anyway, that's talking out of both sides of your mouth, or in the least, assuming that the voting public has collective amnesia . .

If that's the best we can do, either elect Debbie Rose or leave John Cordova in office!
