Noting the "grading" of Pueblo's schools in today's paper, they have gone from numbers to semi-descriptive words . . and said that they are "Improving" . .

    So am I . . . .

Okay, on page 5A of today's (9.22.12) Pueblo Chieftain is the full explanation of why our Pueblo City Schools (Dist. 60) is in such a shambles. A picture is worth a thousand words and this one tells it all.

Banner headline and photo exclaims: Obama boosts public schooling, educators say while the School Boad President and members hold up Obama Campaign Posters reading "Educators for Obama . .

A not so subtle message and explanation . . . Remember this next time those members run for re-election . .

Way to politicize for District 60! And what do Pell Grants have to do with K-12 education? Plus it looks like Stephanie has packed on a few pounds.

Stephanie Garcia (center), a member of the Pueblo City Schools (D60) board, contrasts President Obama’s support for public education to that of presidential challenger Mitt Romney during a press conference Friday. Pueblo teachers and retired teachers surround Garcia, who said she was speaking on her own behalf and not as a board member.

    Sure she was . .

But the way the District spends and blames, with no observable effect upon the students they're in charge of, reminds us of the same results obtained by their Messiah . . Nada . .

Lots of money, no results . . . The system needs to be cleaned out and(apparently) started over, with the idea that children have to be educated from the bottom up. Not waiting until the graduate is tested and it's discovered that he never learned to read in the second grade! And then blaming the High School Teachers . . Or the "Consultants" . .

Hmmm, according to this morning's paper, the money is starting to dry up . . no performance, no State money.

    'Spose that'll get somebody's attention ?

    Historically . . probably not . . .

Oh gee, where did it all go? Certainly not into any classrooms...

Most of went to Colorado Springs, where a majority of the district administrators live.
