    Default Jimmy Johnson and Extenze

I didn't want to hijack the thread where Loren posted this, so I'm starting a new thread.

In fact, for some of us, long memories are the only long things we have. Some of us have memories so long, that we can remember when Jimmy Johnson was a bit longer in the credibility department.

And that brings me to those ridiculous Extenze commercials that dominate late night television. I often fall asleep watching ESPN's Sports Center and wake up seeing Jimmy Johnson making claims about the magic of Extenze. That outfit is trying to go mainstream and I understand that they sell it in Walmart.

They did not start out quite so mainstream. Their original shill was porn star Ron "The Hedgehog" Jeremy interviewing female porn stars. In 2006 ExtenZe agreed to pay the Orange County, California district attorney’s office $300,000 in civil penalties for unfair business practices and false advertising. Susan Kang Schroeder of the DA's office said the company could not back up its claim that the pills caused users’ penises to grow 27%. After several customers in Laguna Beach, California complained to the Better Business Bureau that ExtenZe was making them sick, the district attorney investigated. Investigations revealed that ExtenZe’s lead content was beyond the legal limits.

Dr. Ira Sharlip, a spokesman for the American Urological Association, has said, "There is no such thing as a penis pill that works. These are all things that are sold for profit. There's no science or substance behind them.

    This is from Answers.com:

ExtenZe is a nutritional supplement for which it's manufacturer makes the claim to "enhance" the male "anatomy". While the infomercials and advertisements never say it outright, it is obvious they are making the claim to enlarge the penis. The manufacturer offers many testimonials, (always suspect when somebody has something to sell you) but no solid, peer-reviewed, scientific studies that show any measurable results whatsoever.
Save your money and don't obsess about the size of your penis. As long as it functions and brings you pleasure, it's the perfect size for you.
What was Jimmy Johnson thinking about? Is he on the verge of bankruptcy?

    Wellllllll . . . . . . first off . . feed Davide one . . if he grows, then it'll make a "Bigger Pr*ck" . . out of him . .

Second, (gotta pick on this one):

These are all things that are sold for profit.
    What isn't . . ?

As for Jimmy Johnson and the NASCAR Team that fields an Extenze "Cup" Car (No kidding!), my guess would be (to quote the gal who plays Old Christine in the food ad) "A Boatload Of Money!" . . . . . .

As for whether it works or not, a good part of sex is supposed to be "In your Head" . . that's also what makes people gullible . .
